ROCKINGHAM – Drivers battled the track, the heat and each other Sunday, July 3 for the Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge Summer Showdown at Rockingham Speedway.

Although 11 drivers started, only seven completed all 20 laps around the 1.5-mile course, with Shane Canipe in the No. 1 car leading a majority of the laps and taking the checkered flag. The RO will have more on the race later.
