Rockingham Dragway hosting Koss Motorsports series

Rockingham Dragway

ROCKINGHAM — After several weeks of private testing events, Rockingham Dragway kicks off its “Spring Into Spring” schedule this weekend.

The legendary drag strip, which brings in participants from all over the nation, and the world, rolls into March with an event from Koss Motorsports.

According to a Facebook post, the event will be a day of “a day of roll racing, grudge racing, testing and tuning.”

“Take it to the strip this week; not the street,” the post reads, “Cars, trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, Snapper Comets. Whatever moves you, moves us.”

Gates open Saturday at 11 a.m.

The dragway’s schedule for the 2022 season also includes three dates for the Dig or Die no-prep series — March 25-26, July 22-23 and Dec. 2-3 — in addition to other recurring events like the 31st Annual Griffin Motors MOPARS at The Rock, 24th annual “Big John” Leviner Memorial Weekend Bracket Championship and 31st Annual Jim McClure Nitro All-Harley World Finals.
