HAMLET – Another season of the Richmond County Church Basketball League is in the books.
Southside Free Will Baptist Church was crowned this season’s tournament champion, as it outlasted Freedom Baptist Church’s basketball team last Thursday. The final score was 57-55 in a game that saw both team hold leads. Third place was awarded to the team from Second Baptist Church Hamlet.
Other churches participating the league this season were Mount Olive Baptist Church, Stewartsville Baptist (Laurinburg), Cartlegde Creek Baptist, and First Presbyterian Church Rockingham. Second Baptist Hamlet hosted all of the games.
