ROCKINGHAM - April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and according to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), SAAM is celebrating its 17th anniversary with the theme “Embrace Your Voice” to inform individuals how they can use their words to promote safety, respect, and equality to stop sexual violence before it happens.

ROCKINGHAM - Emergency responders were paged to an ATV accident around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 1 South at the Old Cheraw Highway intersection.

WASHINGTON- Last weekend, advocates for increased gun control converged in a march on our nation’s capital and at other locations across the country to send a message to lawmakers.  The group, March for our Lives, organized the event. 

HAMLET, N.C. – Richmond Community College is bringing in several guest speakers from local agencies to talk about career pathways into human services, as well as the demand for more human services professionals in the field to handle social issues that plague today’s communities.
