Rockingham, NC – On Thursday, December 14, Tom McInnis, a conservative businessman, education and small business advocate, and native North Carolinian, announced Thursday he will seek re-election to the State Senate in the newly-drawn 25th District.

HAMLET – Senior citizens from Richmond County began arriving early at the Cole Auditorium on Wednesday for their annual Christmas party presented by Richmond County Aging Services.

ROCKINGHAM – Individuals driving through downtown Rockingham in recent weeks may have noticed a few things.  Perhaps they noticed the street lights, festively adorned with lights and wreaths, or maybe they noticed the perfectly poised reindeer stationed as if they're there to greet all who enter downtown.  Or, possibly, their attention was grabbed by the towering Christmas tree that now stands in the town square.

HAMLET – The monthly meeting for the Hamlet City Council was held in the chamber of the administration building at 201 Main Street on Tuesday, December 12, from 7 to 8 p.m.

FirstHealth Warns Against Caller ID Scammers

ROCKINGHAM – FirstHealth of the Carolinas is warning the community about a phone scam that uses “caller ID spoofing.” 

HAMLET – While hundreds of spectators lined the streets of Hamlet Thursday for the city’s annual Christmas parade, there were others spreading something other than holiday cheer.

ROCKINGHAM-   Rockingham Mayor Steven Morris and council members received a good report on the city’s financial health from auditors for fiscal year 2016-2017 during Tuesday’s regular monthly meeting.
