Accident Report: Vehicle Rollover on U.S. HWY 1 South

CORDOVA – First responders were called out at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday to a one-vehicle rollover accident. The incident occurred between Osborne and Sandhills Roads on U.S. Highway 1 South.

ELLERBE – Students may have not struck gold Saturday, but they found many other gems such as amber, shark teeth and petrified wood in the annual Fossil Fair held at the Rankin Museum of American Heritage in Ellerbe.

ROCKINGHAM – Tom Cox, Rockingham native, has always been an athlete. In junior and senior high school he played soccer, but with the cards he was dealt, he knew he needed to search further into athletics and training to find his true fit.

HAMLET – On Saturday, September 23, Rebecca Rainwater and her mother, Lorie, put together a free event for the public for direct sell and small businesses in Richmond County called the “Faithfully Shopping Spree.” The event was held at the Cole Auditorium from 2 to 6 p.m.
