ROCKINGHAM — A woman is facing charges from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly breaking into one vehicle and stealing another.

According to an arrest warrant, 40-year-old Jessica Edwards, of Morrow Street, broke into a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban on April 9, however nothing is noted as being stolen.

Edwards is also accused of stealing a 2004 Dodge Ram.

She was arrested the same day and charged with one felony count each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Edwards was booked into the Richmond County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Jail records show Edwards is being held under an additional $1,000 secured bond on a charge of failing to appear in a Wake County court for a misdemeanor.

Online court records show two Jessica Edwardses with misdemeanor charges in Wake County but without a birth date, the RO was unable to confirm which one is also facing charges in Richmond.

Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show Edwards has no previous convictions in this state.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
