ROCKINGHAM — Police are investigating two shootings from late last week that both happened within the same hour.

According to investigators, a 19-year-old was standing outside of a car in the Armistead Street area around 6 p.m. Friday, April 22 when someone drove by and fired several shots.

The victim was shot in the arm and treated and released from FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond, investigators say.

There was no description given of the suspect vehicle, but multiple shell casings were recovered from the area, according to investigators.

Earlier in the month, 18-year-old Zocoreyn Allen passed away from injuries sustained during a March 30 shooting on the same street.

Also on Friday, an out-of-town family got something they didn’t order at a fast-food restaurant.

Investigators say the family was in their vehicle at Sonic around 6:50 p.m. when the occupants of two other vehicles came down Long Drive shooting at each other.

No one was injured but there was a bullet hole in the door, according to investigators.

One of the suspect vehicles, only described as being gold in color, reportedly spun tires and drove into the Burger King parking lot, hitting a small tree before leaving the scene.

The other, described as a silver SUV, reportedly left the scene through the parking lot of Tractor Supply.

Both shootings are still under investigation.

Anyone with information about either incident is encouraged to call the Rockingham Police Department at 910-895-2468 or Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454.
