Scotland Health announces change in COVID-19 vaccination clinics Scotland Health

LAURINBURG — Scotland Health announced on April 13 that due to the diminishing interest in vaccination appointments, there will be only two more weeks of COVID vaccination clinics on the campus of Scotland Memorial Hospital.

April 22 and April 29 will be the last dates available to use the easily accessible and convenient drive-thru service. Appointments can be made by calling 910-291-7654 Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Greg Wood, president and CEO of Scotland Heath stated, “I am deeply concerned with the increasingly fewer people we are vaccinating. Those who were eager to vaccinate have taken the opportunity and now it seems too many people are still undecided or have even decided against taking the shot. Our community will continue to see more positive patients than necessary until sufficient people are vaccinated. Please take advantage of the drive-thru clinics for the next two weeks to protect yourself, your family and your fellow community members by getting yourself vaccinated.”

Beginning in May, vaccination appointments will continue to be available at our six Scotland Physicians Network practices. Scotland Health will also begin offering mobile vaccination clinics to reach outlying and underserved communities. Appointments will be required, and walk-in vaccination services will not be offered.
