North Carolina Zoo vaccine clinic date changes in June NCDHHS

ASHEBORO — The dates of the previously announced vaccine clinic to Bring Summer Back at the North Carolina Zoo have changed to June 11-13 (Fri., Sat., Sun.) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (previously announced dates were June 10-12).

The North Carolina Departments of Health and Human Services and Natural and Cultural Resources are partnering with StarMed Healthcare and the Randolph County Health Department to host this vaccine clinic for anyone 12 and older at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro.

The clinic offers free Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and up or Johnson & Johnson vaccine for ages 18 and up. No ID required. Participants may receive first or second (if eligible) Pfizer vaccination or single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccination.

Each participant who receives a vaccination during the Zoo’s free vaccine clinics will receive one free ticket for a future visit to the North Carolina Zoo. Advanced reservations are currently required to visit the North Carolina Zoo. Free Zoo tickets may not be used for a refund with an existing reservation. If capacity permits, free tickets can be used on day of receipt on a walk-in basis. Free tickets are valid through Dec. 31, 2021.

The event is open to the public. Appointments are available at StarMed.care and walk-ins are welcome. Visit nczoo.org/vaccine to learn more.
