EAST ROCKINGHAM — Both drivers of two SUVs that collided Monday afternoon walked away from the wreck with no serious injuries.

According to Trooper R. Howze with the N.C. State Highway Patrol, the driver of a red GMC Trailblazer was northbound on Church Street when he ran the stop sign at the intersection with Mill Road and struck a westbound Chevrolet Blazer.

The Trailblazer flipped over onto its roof.

Neither driver was seriously injured, Howze said.

The trooper did not have the names of the drivers readily available.

Howze said the driver of the Trailblazer was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.

The East Rockingham Fire Department and Cordova Rescue responded to the crash.
