ROCKINGHAM – McNair Auto Sales enjoyed a successful grand opening Saturday, as it welcomed its customers and community members to celebrate the event.

A game truck was an entertaining activity for those in attendance, and face-painting and games went over well with the younger crowd. Also popular was barbecue from Rick’s Catering, Twisted Treats ice cream, and cupcakes created by Delia Michael. RSHS band director Mike Ward was also in attendance with the RSHS marching band drum line.

“It looks like the event is going well and we’re happy to have everybody,” Trey McNair stated enthusiastically.

After opening speeches, Erin McNair engaged the crowd in a 10-second countdown for the cutting of the symbolic blue ribbon for the new facility. RSHS marching band drum line then, as Erin McNair so eloquently put it, “played McNair Auto into a successful ‘next’ journey.”

“We really hope that everyone has an enjoyable time and gets a chance to look at our inventory,” Kristen Boone, of McNair Auto, added. “We want to make an impact on the county and let people know we are homegrown and care about the people in our county.

“They’re (the McNairs) a great bunch of guys to work for,” Boone said.

Phil McNair has been in the car business for almost 40 years, and upon his retirement, sons Trey and Ryan took over.

“We always try to accommodate a customer, whether they need help with their payments, down payments, or figuring out what kind of car they want,” Boone said, noting that they will even go so far as to search for a specific car for a customer.

Visit McNair Auto Sales at their new location at 1026 E. Broad Avenue between Wendy’s and Strikers Bowling Alley.
