ROCKINGHAM — Four Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators on Tuesday were awarded certificates from the N.C. Sheriff’s Training and Standards Commission.

Sheriff James Clemmons presented Detective Dustin McQueen with both his Basic and Intermediate certificates.

Detectives David Wall, Marcus Brown and Brian Ingram were each presented their Advanced Law Enforcement certificates.

Brown and Ingram both received their intermediate certificates in July.

The Advanced Certificate is the highest certificate presented to law enforcement officers in North Carolina.

Certificates are awarded based on an officer’s years of experience plus the amount of professional training and education the officer receives.
