ROCKINGHAM — A restaurant owner is recovering from burns sustained Wednesday night as the community gathers for support.

Marsha Reynolds, owner of the Grille, was taken to the burn center in Chapel Hill following an accident at the restaurant, according to a Facebook post from her mother, Jenny Reynolds, of No. 1 Diner.

Jenny Reynolds added that a doctor said Marsha Reynolds will recover, it’s just a process.

“She is tough and believes in God and prayer,” her mother said.

To help the family with expenses, Hudson Brothers Deli Manager Robin Roberts and realtor Jamie Moss set up a fundraiser on social media.

“Marsha Reynolds has to be one of the hardest working women we have ever met!” Roberts said on the fundraising page. “She loves our town, she loves our people and now her immediate family needs us.”

The funds will help the family with housing and transportation costs while Marsha Reynolds recovers, according to the post.

Donations can be made on the fundraising page, or dropped off at Hudson Brothers, RE/MAX Southern Realty or Family Pharmacy.

“She will have difficult days ahead of her,” Roberts said. “I know that she and her family appreciates your prayers from the bottom of their hearts.”
