ROCKINGHAM -- Computer Zone, located at 613 South Long Drive, announced Tuesday that it would be offering free Wi-Fi for students who are currently unable to access the internet due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

To support our students in need at this time, we at Computer Zone have activated a free guest Wi-Fi for students to use for their educational needs if they do not have internet access at home.

We can not open our doors to you, but you are welcome to park in our parking lot and access our Wi-Fi from your vehicle. Please follow all recommended social distancing guidelines as set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"Our employees brought up in our meeting today they wanted to do something for the community and the kids that did not have it," said owner Sandy Huggins. "Even though our doors are locked to the public, we are still trying to do support remotely. We felt like at a time like this, everyone needed to try to help each other."

When asked how long Computer Zone would extend the free Wi-Fi for those in need, Huggins said, "We will continue it until the school goes back."
