Moss comes 'full circle' as 4th-generation owner of West Rockingham business Moss Brothers Tire

Will Moss (black shirt) is joined by longtime employee Mike Long to cut the ceremonial ribbon for the grand re-opening of Moss Brothers Tire late Thursday morning. Moss is the fourth-generation owner of the business and Long has been with the company more than 30 years.

ROCKINGHAM — Will Moss never intended to be in the tire business.

After several years of helping his father, William “Bo” Moss, change tires, he vowed not to do it again.

Wrong turn becomes life-changing moment for RCC machining graduate

Richmond Community College graduate Matt Bower stands in the Goodyear Tire & Rubber plant in Fayetteville where he works. Bower earned a diploma in Computer Integrated Machining from RichmondCC.

HAMLET — Getting lost at Richmond Community College and ending up in the machine shop was the best wrong turn Matt Bower could have made career-wise. The 2005 graduate of the Computer Integrated Machining program is now working full-time at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Fayetteville and also runs his own business, Bower Precision Alignments, on the side.
