Maggie Virginia Long O’Tuel

ROCKINGHAM — Maggie Virginia Long O’Tuel, 95, of Rockingham, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

She was born in Richmond County, Nov. 15, 1925, son of the late Peter Stancil Long Jr. and Gertrude Myers Long.

Ms. O’Tuel  was a member of Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church and served her Lord faithfully all of her life. She worked many years for L’eggs/Sara Lee Hosiery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, the Rev. O’Tuel, daughter, Trudy O’Tuel; brothers, Pete Long and William Rufus Long; and sister, Helen Long Williams.

She is survived by her son, Boyce (Shirley) O’Tuel of Rockingham; grandchildren, Sarah “Linnie” Carlisle, Lisah Wilson, and Michelle Miloncus; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicole, Jordan, Chandler, Michael, Hunter, and Alex; great-great-grandchildren, Alyana and Cassidy.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Trinity Holiness Church, 130 Entwistle Road, Rockingham, from 2-3 p.m.

The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham.

Harrington Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the O’Tuel family.
