Super Chevy Show kicks off The Rock's 'Fall Frenzy'

ROCKINGHAM — Rockingham Dragway’s annual “Fall Frenzy” begins this weekend with the Carolina’s largest all-Chevy shootout, the Super Chevy Show presented by Richmond County Tourism featuring the 280 miles per hour Larsen Motorsports jet dragsters and a car show like none other.

ROCKINGHAM — No one has hoisted one of drag racing’s iconic “Wally” trophies since Brad Plourd won Comp Eliminator at the virus-shortened NHRA Gatornationals last March in Gainesville, Florida.  However, Rockingham Dragway is positioned to end that drought May 23-25 when it plays host to the 22nd annual Big John Memorial Bracket Nationals.

ROCKINGHAM — The oh-too-long winter performance break will end with the familiar sound of revving engines and screeching tires this Saturday when Rockingham Dragway plays host to the first event in the 2020 Mass Acceleration Motorsports Street Drags Series featuring the new NHRA Jr. Street class.

Rockingham Dragway announces eclectic 2019 schedule

ROCKINGHAM — Anchored by the inaugural Epicenter Festival, a three-day musical extravaganza featuring more than 40 different rock bands, Rockingham Dragway on Wednesday announced a 2019 schedule that also features not one, but two of the big money bracket races produced by SFG Promotions, the 28th annual AMRA All-Harley World Finals and the return of the NHRA Lucas Oil Series/National Open combo event that proved so popular in its debut a year ago.
