CHERRY POINT — The N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program has a new weapon in its arsenal in the war against impaired driving during the Independence Day holiday – window chalk.

RALEIGH — Next week, the Governor’s Highway Safety Program and more than 500 law enforcement agencies will kick off the state’s annual 4th of July anti-drunk driving campaign "Operation Firecracker" with increased enforcement patrols.
