ROCKINGHAM – So you are in need of a household item but would rather not pay full retail price?  An appliance no longer functions properly but repairs seem cost prohibitive?

You’ve been searching for just the right accessory to complete your chosen motif but have yet to find such?  If any of these scenarios apply to you, then perhaps you should consider a visit to ReStore in Rockingham’s Tri-City Shopping Center.

Manager Amy Guinn and the attentive staff at ReStore will provide you with excellent assistance and accurate information about any item in stock.  They are also there to perhaps help you rid yourself of any otherwise unwanted items that you wish to donate to Habitat for Humanity.

Donations are the primary means by which the store maintains its inventory, but it remains a business nonetheless, complete with overhead and paid employees.  “As much as we would like to, we can’t afford to just take everything that people bring us,” says Guinn.  “We are a relatively small store so we just have limited floor space to accommodate the merchandise.”

But that should not discourage anyone from stopping by and inquiring as to the possibility of the ReStore accepting their otherwise unwanted items.  Most any type of household item that is in reasonably good condition and could be resold without any repairs would be considered.  “We really don’t have the expertise or staff available to make repairs on things, so we can’t accept items that are in need of a lot of work,” Amy states.  “Customers don’t want to do repairs themselves either, besides maybe a quick coat of paint, so items that aren’t in good condition don’t sell.”

It should be noted that ALL ReStore proceeds go DIRECTLY to furthering the mission of Habitat for Humanity: Building safe, affordable homes for those in need that are purchased by the recipient and repaid to Habitat through a 0% mortgage.

The ReStore  is located in the Tri-City Shopping Center at 1300 Broad Avenue in Rockingham and can be contacted via telephone at 910-817-9576.
