ROCKINGHAM — With each passing year, Hoptoberfest has seen its numbers grow in regards to wing teams, beer and wine vendors, and attendees since its inception in 2015. The Richmond County Chamber of Commerce announced on Thursday that expansion would continue for the festival as it moves out to the Rockingham Speedway this year.

ROCKINGHAM — Mayor Steve Morris said during the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce's ribbon cutting for Advanced Machine Services on Friday that the city received some ridicule when leaders decided to buy land towards the Cordova area to begin an industrial park.

However, he said they knew that the topography was better than it looked on paper, and 10 years later, AMS is one of the newer businesses there reaping the benefits.

ROCKINGHAM- One word was used by multiple people while describing Hudson Brothers Deli during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday morning: family.

Although it’s been back in business for nearly two weeks, owner Rex Hudson cut the red ribbon with a giant pair of scissors outside the restaurant and bar surrounded by staff members, local dignitaries and representatives of the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce.
