MB Drift collecting for Toys for Tots at Rockingham Speedway

MB Drift's Marshall Eggerling and Devin Crezee slide sideways down the backstretch of the Rockingham Speedway road course in October. MB Drift and Motorsport 4the Masses both return to the speedway this weekend.

ROCKINGHAM — Spectators can get a reduced admission price for bringing a toy at MB Drift’s season-ender this weekend at Rockingham Speedway and Entertainment Complex.

Kids get pancakes, photo with Santa at Hamlet Fire Department

HAMLET— Ol’ Saint Nick, sitting in front of a shiny red fire truck, learned what local children wanted for Christmas early Saturday during the annual Breakfast with Santa event at the Hamlet Fire Department.

The youngsters and their parents filled up on a breakfast of pancakes, sausage and bacon before visiting with Kris Kringle to share their wishes and pose for a photo.

New look for Rockingham's Christmas on the Square

This year's Christmas on the Square will be the first since renovations were finished at Harrington Square earlier this month.

ROCKINGHAM — Downtown will light up with around 90 vendors, as well as a new look, on Saturday as the Rockingham Downtown Corporation, Richmond County Tourism Authority, and the city sponsor Christmas on the Square, now in it’s 23rd year.
