WEST END — Concerned Citizens For Community Action Breaking the Chains will kick off its 2018-2019 Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness Churches Tour and Petition Drive to end domestic violence and sexual assault in Moore County, surrounding Counties and the state of North Carolina on Sunday, Dec. 9 at the St. Davis Parrish Hall Deliverance Ministry, 550 Ashemont Road, Aberdeen, at 10:30 a.m.

CCFCA Breaking the Chains is a non-political, nonprofit diversified community organization seeking to provide protection to domestic violence and sexual assault victims through legislation, counselling and shelters.

Realizing the reasons that high statistics of unreported abuses are because of the lack of programs and advocacy to sufficiently take profound interest of victims to heart, CCFCA Breaking the Chains coalition — networked with domestic violence and drug awareness agencies in Moore and surrounding counties — has been scheduled to speak in several churches to further their progressive movement toward shelters and provide necessary resources for women, children and men of criminal domestic and sexual abuse, educationally, physically and socially by equipping each client with information as well as resources to help strengthen and educate them to transition back into stable communities independently.

Speakers will include educators, coaches and medical professionals. Topics will be domestic violence, adolescent victims of sexual assault, and violence prevention in communities, schools and businesses.

Churches wishing to join the movement of ending domestic violence and sexual assault should call 910-474-2589 for scheduling.
