ROCKINGHAM- One word was used by multiple people while describing Hudson Brothers Deli during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday morning: family.

Although it’s been back in business for nearly two weeks, owner Rex Hudson cut the red ribbon with a giant pair of scissors outside the restaurant and bar surrounded by staff members, local dignitaries and representatives of the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce.

ROCKINGHAM — Hundreds of shoppers gathered at Lidl on Thursday morning to see what the new grocery store has to offer.

The parking lot of the German grocery chain was packed full of shoppers, anticipating good deals. And the line outside, wrapped around the side of the building, while the staff greeted customers and handed out reusable shopping bags. Doors opened at 8:00 a.m. following a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Steve Morris.

I am fully aware, nonetheless, that Rockingham nor any town in Richmond County is "the big city", and I am so thankful for it.
