ROCKINGHAM — A gospel concert next month is one of the activities planned to support cancer research.
Grammy Award-winning singer Jason Crabb will headline a show on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Cole Auditorium, with proceeds benefiting Relay for Life for Richmond County. Regional vocal group 2nd Chance Ministries will be opening for Crabb.
Both groups shared a stage at events earlier this year.

Tickets are $20 and up and are available for purchase 9 a.m-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Richmond County Cancer Care Treasure Shop in Rockingham.
The Treasure Shop opened in 2018 to support Relay for Life. Owner Rodney Gandy said Tuesday that his nonprofit business has raised $100,000 in the past five years.
Gandy’s mother, Diane McNeill, was a three-time cancer survivor at the time.
The Treasure Shop will also host its third annual Walk for Hope from the store to Walmart and back, starting at 9 a.m. Oct. 14. “In honor of those who have fought and will fight,” according to the poster. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
The cost to walk, which includes a T-shirt, is $25 for an individual, or a flat fee of $20 each for those in a group of 10 or more. Additional T-shirts will be available at $10.
