ELLERBE – Get your engines ready!  It’s time for the Outlaw Triple Crown Mower Racing Series, ‘Racing 4 Taylor.’

HAMLET - The musical, ‘Million Dollar Quartet,’ will be coming to Cole Auditorium on Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. Joey Bennett, Director of Cole Auditorium, states, “This is one of only two dates in the state that this tour will be playing. We are very excited to close out our 2017-2018 DeWitt Series with this great Broadway musical. With impersonators of four world-renowned musicians and featuring the hits of all four recording artists, this show is sure to be a treat for all music lovers.”

ROCKINGHAM – Throughout the year, Sandhills Children’s Center holds fundraising events to help support its programs. These special events raise almost 10% of its annual budget. One of these events is the Hitchcock Creek Duck Derby.

ROCKINGHAM – The Richmond County Beekeepers Association is sponsoring a Workshop for ‘Beekeepers and Wanna Beekeepers.’

ROCKINGHAM – The Mayo Clinic describes Lymphoma as a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting network. The lymphatic system includes the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus gland and bone marrow. Lymphoma can affect all those areas as well as other organs throughout the body.

Ellerbe – The Rankin Museum of American Heritage has been under the direction of Emilie Cobb since the retirement of its former director, Gail Benson, in November. Cobb had interned at Rankin since August before being hired as its director. Benson had been director of the museum for 31 years.

Moscow Festival Ballet: Cinderella

HAMLET - The DeWitt Performing Arts Series will present Moscow Festival Ballet performing the classic fairy tale"Cinderella" on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 7:30 p..m.

ROCKINGHAM – The Autism Society of North Carolina “provides support and promotes opportunities that enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.”

ROCKINGHAM – Under the supervision of their leaders, local scouts worked towards earning the Emergency Preparedness Award and a merit badge last Friday as they participated in educational activities at Rockingham Fire Department.

ROCKINGHAM – Pee Dee Pregnancy Resource Center (PDPRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization requiring sustainable funds. Much of these resources come from fundraisers. Thursday night, from 5-8 p.m. patrons of Captain D’s Seafood had the opportunity to donate to PDPRC just by dining there.
