ROCKINGHAM-  Daryl Mason is originally from the state of Florida.  He has spent the last 33 years however, in Richmond County.  “Now when people ask me where I’m from, I tell them Richmond County, I have lived here longer than I lived in Florida,” said Mason.

ROCKINGHAM- The City of Rockingham met for their regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening.

County Commissioners hold April meeting

ROCKINGHAM- The Richmond County Board of Commissioners held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday at the Judicial Center in Rockingham.

WASHINGTON- Last weekend, advocates for increased gun control converged in a march on our nation’s capital and at other locations across the country to send a message to lawmakers.  The group, March for our Lives, organized the event. 

ROCKINGHAM-  Local politicians came out to Pattan’s Downtown Grille Monday Night to enjoy discussion with members of the Chamber of Commerce.  The event was sponsored by SOS CZ-Office Business Solutions and included the usual delicious food of Pattan’s.

Opportunity to Save Lives Coming Soon

ROCKINGHAM - As the saying goes, sometimes the best things in life are free.  For those who have given the gift of blood, knowing they are helping to save lives can be a very rewarding experience.

ROCKINGHAM- Rev. Mark Harris, former pastor of First Baptist Church, Charlotte, is running for the US Congress as Representative of the North Carolina 9th District.  He is running against incumbent Robert Pittenger and newcomer Clarence Goins.  The district includes South Mecklenburg, Union, Anson, Richmond, Scotland, and Robeson Counties as well as portions of Cumberland and Bladen Counties.
