Rockingham Council cancels July meeting

ROCKINGHAM — One Richmond County municipal board is canceling it’s July meeting.

Fire destroys mobile home near Hamlet

HAMLET — Two Richmond County fire departments responded to a mobile home fire in East Rockingham late Sunday morning.

HAMLET — A passerby driving down Boyd Lake Road around midday Sunday stopped to put out a porch fire.

ROCKINGHAM— While Richmond County experienced a lower number of new COVID-19 cases on Friday, North Carolina reported nearly 2,100, setting a new record-high.

RALEIGH — A bill to reopen gyms that gained bipartisan support in the state legislature was one of several vetoed by Gov. Roy Cooper on Thursday.
