HAMLET — Alan Christopher “Chris” Blackmon, 51, of Hamlet, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 in West Virginia.
He was born in Richmond County, Aug. 27, 1970, son of Alvin and Beatrice “BeBe” Capps Blackmon.
He was the owner/operator of Rockingham Towing.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Alvin Blackmon; and his sister, Angela Wiggins.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Rhonda Quick Blackmon of the home; daughter, Krystal B. Smith of Rockingham; son C.J. Blackmon of the home; mother, BeBe Blackmon of Hamlet; and grandson, Jacob Smith of Rockingham.
The family will receive friends and family at the home of his daughter, Krystal, 119 Valley Hill Drive, Rockingham.
A visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021 at Harrington Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at Harrington Funeral Home at 4 p.m.
Burial will follow at Nebo Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
