HAMLET — Annie Dowless Stricklin, 85, of 302 Wilson Ave., Hamlet, went to her Heavenly Home, Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.
She was born in Lumberton, June 12, 1934, daughter of Acie Dowless and Sally Moore Dowless.
She was a charter member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church and previously employed at Abbott. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and was a beautiful woman; inside and out!
Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Harrington Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to noon.
At other times family and friends will meet at home of daughter, Wanda Ludlum, 373 Old Charlotte Highway, Rockingham.
The funeral will begin in the chapel at noon with the Rev. Austin Clark and Danny Dowless officiating.
Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Robert Sealey.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Stricklin of the home; daughters, Debbie Gates (Alan) of Gallatin, Tennessee, Wanda Ludlum (Frankie) of Rockingham and Gay McWaters (Steve) of Rockingham; stepdaughters, Brandy Grooms (William) and Megan VanBuren (Brandon) both of Hamlet; sisters, Clarece Graham and Betty Lovette both of Lumberton; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 657 Airport Road, Rockingham, NC 28379
