HAMLET — Barbara Dean Siner Wainright, 87, of Hamlet, earned her wings on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022. She passed peacefully at her home.
Mrs. Wainright was born Jan. 14, 1935 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Barney and Lula Utley Siner.
She retired from O’Berry Center in Goldsboro and also did private duty sitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Siner, Johnny Siner and Betty Butler.
Surviving are her children, Wanda Newby (Kenneth), Jonathan Wainright (Cheryl), Jerry Wainright (Tracey) and Windy Smith (Dennis); grandchildren, Kali Corley (Brandon), Case Wainright (Lane), Patricia Flowers (Mike), Rebeckah Wainright (Ricky) and Justin Wainright (Jackie); eight great-grandchildren; brother, Claude Siner (Beatrice); and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Indian Branch Cemetery in Darlington, South Carolina, with Pastor Shelley officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
