Beulah Mae Lowery Tyler

HAMLET — Mrs. Beulah Mae Lowery Tyler, 85, of Hamlet, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

She was born March 22, 1937 in Robeson County, daughter of the late McKinley and Stella Scott Lowery.

Mrs. Tyler was a member of Timbers Crossing Free Will Baptist Church. She attended the Adults Sunday school class, loved preaching and singing. She loved serving her Lord and Savior. Her passion in life was helping and taking care of others. She was the matriarch of her family whom she loved dearly — her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Stella Lowery; children, Arnold Tyler, Robert Harold Tyler, and baby girl Debra Tyler; grandson, Brian Keith Hunt; great-grandson, Nolan Powley; and son-in-law, David Bell.

Mrs. Tyler is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie Maynor (Gerald) and Betty Jean Goebel (Don), all of Laurel Hill, and Sheila Ann Bell of Hamlet; sons, the Rev. Charlie Ronald Tyler (Donna), Haynes Tyler, and Kenneth Wayne Tyler (Beth), all of Rockingham, Jerry William Tyler and Glenn Tyler, both of Laurel Hill, Chad Tyler (Wanda) of Hamlet, and Phillip Lee Tyler (Angela) of Pembroke; 25 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Harrington Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Monday, May 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Timber’s Crossing Free Will Baptist Church, Loch Haven Road, Rockingham, with her son, the Rev. Charlie Tyler officiating. Burial will follow at Sycamore Hill Holiness Church Cemetery, Maxton.

At other times, the family will meet at the home of her son, Wayne Tyler, 681 Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham.
