ROCKINGHAM — Billy Ray Beaman, 83, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Beaman was born May 15, 1935 in High Point, North Carolina, a son of the late Howard and Louise Snead Beaman. He had served in the U.S. Army Reserves and had retired from CSX Railroad after 42 years of service. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and Men’s Club. He had graduated from Candor High School and loved to dance.
Surviving are his wife, Sally Brigman Beaman; children, Billy Ray Beaman Jr. of Rockingham and Angela Beaman Bush (Jim) of Boynton Beach, Florida and granddaughter, Payten Bush of Boyton Beach, Florida.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Polk officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends from 12:45 – 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the church and at other times at the home.
