Bobby Legrand Honeycutt Sr.

HAMLET — Bobby Legrand Honeycutt Sr., 84, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.

He was born Sept. 2, 1936 in Nash County, a son of late Walter and Honore Craft Honeycutt.

Mr. Honeycutt served in the U.S. Army in the Fifth Infantry in occupied Germany and 101st Airborne. Bobby was a good, loving man. He loved God, country and family. His humble and kind spirit will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine English Honeycutt; a son, Bobby Thomas Honeycutt; and a daughter, Marty Honeycutt Thomas.

A graveside service will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Richmond Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum with Bishop Marvin Taylor officiating. Due to COVID-19, we please ask you to wear a face mask and continue social distancing.

Surviving are his children, Timothy Honeycutt of the home, Kathryn Honeycutt of the home, Roxanne Quick and husband Chuck of Hamlet, Michael Honeycutt of the home, Bobby Legrand Honeycutt Jr. of Rockingham and Scottie Lynette Honeycutt Wallace of Hamlet; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Junior, Larry, Billy and Don Honeycutt; and a sister, Joyce Honeycutt Kryder.
