D.C. Brayboy

ROCKINGHAM — D.C. Brayboy, 80, of Rockingham, passed away Feb. 28, 2021 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 23, 1940 in Scotland County, a son of the late Willis and Jessie Oxendine Brayboy.

He retired from the textile industry. 

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Northam Cemetery Extension. Please wear a face mask and continue social distancing.

Surviving, his children, Laura Nance and husband Mack of Rockingham and Billy Brayboy of Hamlet; brothers, Gurney Brayboy of Polkton, Ernest Bayboy of Hamlet, Gilbert Brayboy of Lumberton and Bracey Brayboy of Laurel Hill; sister Dale Campbell of Rockingham; grandchildren, Bryan Wallace and Adam Hatcher; and great-grandchildren Kirsten Wallace, Bubba Wallace and Kaydence Wallace.

A public viewing will be held with no family present from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 and from 10 a.m. -noon on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
