ROCKINGHAM — Daniel Monroe Snead Jr., 76, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in West End.
Mr. Snead was born Sept. 19, 1942 in Richmond County, a son of the late Daniel Monroe and Elmare Grice Snead. He was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church and had last worked with Cox Insurance Agency. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Gainey Snead; brother, John S. Snead; and sister, Myrtle Steen.
Surviving are his daughters, Kim Roos, Dana Cserny and Kyle Thomas; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lucille McNeill.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 at Beverly Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will see friends from 12:45–1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
