ROCKINGHAM — David “Ray” McKay Jr., 49, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 at PruittHealth of Rockingham.
David was born in Greenville on Oct. 22, 1970, a son of the late David Ray McKay Sr. and Joann Brady Canipe of Rockingham, who survives. He had been a resident of Mallard Lane Center for a number of years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Carlos David Canipe; and a stepbrother, Victor Canipe. Others preceding him in death were his grandparents, James and Johnsie Brady and Dr. and Mrs. M. Ray McKay.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Richmond County Memorial Park. Entombment will follow.
