Dewitt Faulk

ROCKINGHAM — William Dewitt Faulk, 78, of Rockingham entered into heaven on Monday, May 27, 2019.

Dewitt was born June 1, 1940 in Richmond County, a son of the late Murray Cleveland and Eunice Elizabeth Faulk. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the North Carolina National Guard for a total of 37 years. He also retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service and was a member of Abundant Life Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Freeman Faulk of the home; children, Marty Faulk of Laurinburg, Kimberly Gathings of Ellerbe and William “Chip” D. Faulk Jr. of Rockingham; grandchildren, Tiffany Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Amber Faulk, Shawn Faulk and Allyson Faulk; great-grandchildren, Landon Wilson, Gage Ricks and Matthew Brigman; and his sister, Kathy Long of Rockingham.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Abundant Life Church with the Rev. Joe B. Wilkes Jr. officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Eastside Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 1–1:45 pm Thursday at the church and at other times at the home.
