HAMLET — Don Paul, age 60, of Hamlet, departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020.
He was born in Richmond County on July, 24 1960. He graduated from Montgomery Community College in 2006 with Associate of Science and Emergency Medicine. His passion for helping others and saving lives held over 40 years of EMS and fire experience.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Lois “Bea” Paul; sister, Cathy Manship; and devoted fur baby, Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife of seven years, Jennifer Paul of the home; five children, Dana (Dwayne) Quick of Hamlet, TJ (Elizabeth) Davenport of Rockingham, Dustin (Tootie) Paul of Hamlet, Chelsea Hunt of Rowland, Devon (Jailynn) Hunt of the home; five grandchildren, Jessica Quick, Chaise (Lauren) Millen, Ryan (Marissa) Quick, Ally Quick and Aiden Hunt; five great-grandchildren, Annabelle Millen, Chloe Bowman, Aiden Ford, Saylor Millen, Rylie Quick; four sisters, Lorraine (Johnny) Honeycutt, Brenda Sellers, Faye Holder and Sandy Scott; also his fur babies Kujo, Kali, Zac, Max, Paisley, Bruno, Nacho and May; and a host of many relatives and friends.
For anyone who wants to pay respects, a public viewing will be held on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 from noon to 6 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home in Rockingham. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at Outreach for Jesus in Hamlet. A drive-thru visitation will be held prior to at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m sharp. Enter through Battley Dairy Road entrance by daycare. Burial will follow at the Nebo Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Hamlet.
