ROCKINGHAM — Donald Wayne “Pete” Coates, 62, of Rockingham, passed away, Sunday, May 31, 2020.
He was born Jan. 22, 1958 in Cumberland County, son of Daniel Paul Coates Jr. and Gertrude Bennett Coates.
“Pete” was a remarkable upholstery man; he was easy going and loved his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela Mitchell, Bonnie Eaves and Miranda Coates, all of Rockingham; brothers, Daniel Paul Coates III and Henry R. Coates, both of Rockingham; sister, Betty Gibson of

All services will be private.
