ROCKINGHAM — Franklin Travis “Frank” Sherrill, 82, of 131 Northam Road, Rockingham, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019 at Hospice Haven.
He was born in Richmond County, son of Ransom Robert and Maude Russell Sherrill.
Frank worked as a diesel mechanic for CSX Railroad and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 at Second Baptist Church, Hamlet, at 3 p.m.; Pastor Chris Hawks will be officiating.
A time to speak with the family will follow the service.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby Ghant Sherrill of the home; son, Mike Sherrill and wife Doris of Hamlet; granddaughter, Erin Starling and husband Jebo of Hamlet; and many friends.
