HAMLET — Frankie McKenzie, 73, of Hamlet, passed away Feb. 23, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He was born Jan. 19, 1948 in Dillon County, South Carolina, a son of the late Margaret McKenzie.
Mr. McKenzie retired from the food service industry and was a member of Mount Carmel Free Will Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at 6 p.m. at Mount Carmel Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Childers and Preacher Haywood Proctor officiating.
Surviving are his wife, Aleen McKenzie of Hamlet; children, Pam Hammond and husband Tony of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Rusty McKenzie and wife Amanda of Dillion, South Carolina, Chris McKenzie, wife Heather of Marion, South Carolina, and Gail Parks and husband JR of Hamlet; sister, Gail Childers of Rockingham; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-5:45 P.M. Friday prior to the memorial service at the church.
