ROCKINGHAM — Freddie Ross Nantz, 80, of Rockingham, passed away on Thursday Feb. 17, 2022.
Fred was born in Salisbury to Robert and Sarah Nantz.
Fred is survived by his sons, Ross and Ricky Nantz; his granddaughter, Charleigh Ann Nantz; and his sisters Gayle Nantz of Greensboro and Kay Brown of Mint Hill.
Fred graduated from Rockingham High School and East Carolina University with a degree in education. He taught Industrial Arts and Metal Technology in the Richmond County School System until retirement.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Rockingham with Dr. Allison Farrah officiating.
