HAMLET — James Franklin Lynch, 84, of Hamlet, passed away at his home in Hamlet, Sunday, April 10, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 27, 1937, a son of the late Caleb Monroe Lynch and Daisy Jernigan Lynch.
Jim was a lifetime resident of Richmond County and a friend to man. He was a self-employed plumber for 53 years. He loved his family and enjoyed time with them. He was also a dedicated member of Sweet Haven Church and had served his country in the U.S. Army.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of 28 years, Janet Privette Lynch; two children, Sandra Lynch of Cordova and Jamie Lynch McDuffie (Jim) of Hamlet; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and a brother, Ray Lynch (Linda); and his beloved baby Peaches.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Woodrow Lynch; brothers, Vander, Claude, Houston and Johnny; and sisters, Mary, Catherine, Francis, Janie Sue and Ruth.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Sweet Haven Church with the Revs. Kane McKenzie and Mitchell Roller officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:45 -2:45 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Richmond County Memorial Park.
