HAMLET — Mr. James William Quick Sr., 85, of Hamlet, passed away Thursday, Jan 27, 2022, at McLeod Health Cheraw.
Mr. Quick was born July 30, 1936, son of the late Moton Quick and Sallie Quick.
He was an equipment operator and worked in construction. He was an ordained minister, ministering at hospitals and nursing homes. Using his hands to build and construct things was his enjoyment and he loved his grandkids.
Mr. Quick was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Quick; son, Jimmy Quick; and daughter, Cindy Quick.
He is survived by his son, Dennis Quick (Kathy) of Rockingham; daughter, Wendy Smith (Gene) of Hamlet; sisters, Peggy Scott and Louise Lammonds, both of Rockingham; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
