ELLERBE — Jerry Davis Puckett, 73, of Ellerbe, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mr. Puckett was born Oct. 10, 1948 in Richmond County, a son of the late Ulysses Grant Puckett and Treva Lawson Puckett Chappell.
Early in life he worked in farming and later in construction. He was a jack of all trades.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell E. Puckett in 2009; and a brother, Phillip Puckett.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Smith Puckett; son William Puckett (Sara); grandchildren, Miranda Puckett, Tracy Lyerly and Phillip Sellers; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Angelo, Hailie, Jenna and Ashton Lyerly, Karleigh and Nathan Sellers; brother, Tony Puckett and sister, Wanda Steele.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with the Rev. Don Rhyne officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
