Karen Lovin

ROCKINGHAM — Karen Scott Lovin, 74, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 at Hospice Haven.

She was born in Rockingham, Feb. 24, 1945, daughter of Willie James Scott and Ila Mae Lovette Scott.

Mrs. Lovin was formerly a case worker for the Department of Social Services and a member of Springhill Wesleyan Church.

Visitation will be held at Springhill Wesleyan Church on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 from 2-3 p.m. 

The funeral will begin in the church at 3 p.m. with Pastor Bob Scott officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David B. Lovin, on Nov. 15, 2019; and her brother, Bill Scott.

Survivors include her daughters, Angela Lovin (Brian Harrison) and Lisa Lovin Sharpe both of Rockingham; son, Steven Scott Lovin (Linda) of Hamlet; brother, Mickey Scott of Charlotte; sister, Tina Thurman of Greenville, South Carolina; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Scott of Denton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
