ROCKINGHAM — Mrs. Karlene Brand Lowery, 93, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Hospice Haven.
She was born Oct. 8, 1926 in Richmond County, daughter of William Guy Brand and Margaret Smith Brand.
Mrs. Lowery was a member of Temple Baptist Church; a lady of great faith and a true example of a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stearley Teal Lowery; sons, Roger Lowery and Dean Lowery; brother, James Brand; and sister, Betty Baker.
Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Copeland of Union, South Carolina and Trudy McCarter of Wilmington; son, Calvin Lowery (Janet) of Apison, Tennessee; sister, Geraldine Eudy of Silver Springs, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Sue Lowery of Rockingham; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice Haven, 1119 Hwy. 1 N., Rockingham, NC 28379.
All Services will be private due to mandates of COVID-19.
