HAMLET — Kathleen Hodges Barrett, 71, of Hamlet, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond, Rockingham.
She was born Oct. 31, 1948, daughter of Rudolph Hodges and Addie Jane Norton Hodges.
Kathleen attended Nebo Wesleyan Church. She was a unique lady who was feisty, loved to cook, a great housekeeper, enjoyed word search and loved animals, especially her cats! She loved her family and always had a remedy to whatever they faced. She will be missed!
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at Nebo Wesleyan Church Cemetery, at 11 a.m.; burial will follow.
Social distancing and masks are required due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Hamer Barrett; and siblings.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Perhealth (James) of Hamlet and Jennifer Barrett of Hamlet; sons, Michael Barrett of Hamlet and Jonathan Dean Barrett of Texas; sister, Rebecca Todd of Hamlet; Five grandchildren, Jaime Lynn Farris, Andrew Blake Barrett, Rachel Barrett, Faith Debolt and Jonathan Honeycutt; and 12 great-grandchildren.
