BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. — Larry Gene DuBois, 77, of Bennettsville, South Carolina, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2019 at Atrium Health in Charlotte.
Larry was born Feb. 22, 1942 in Waterloo, Iowa, a son of the late Gene A. and Sylvia Marie Bradfield DuBois. He was a graduate of West Waterloo High School, Class of 1960, was a member at Place of Grace Campus, and owner of DuBois Home Builders. He was a longtime member of the NRA, an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler.
Surviving are his children, Doug DuBois of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Dan DuBois (Judy) of Bennettsville, South Carolina, and Debra Richardson (Gary) of Bennettsville, South Carolina; grandsons, James Mitchell of Phoenix, Arizona and Jared Mitchell of Freeport, Illinois; brothers, Glenn DuBois of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Marty DuBois of Bennettsville, South Carolina, and Steve DuBois (Debbie) of Avon Park, Florida, and sister Mickey Walbaum (Jerry) of Unionville, Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Place of Grace Campus with the Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Interment will follow privately on the family farm.
The family will see friends from 6– 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home of Debra and Gary Richardson.
